21.8.2003 We have added new questions to the database today. I was quite surprised when I returned from my summer holidays to find out that I've received over 2000 new questions made by you Metalheads! Thank you for those. As you probably understand, it's gonna take some time for me to go through them but patience is virtue...
11.7.2003 0.5 million games are up! Precisely on 11th July 00:32 GMT +02:00. Next up...1 million.
10.7.2003 New one-day gamecount record!!! Over 29000 games played on one day! We owe a huge thank you from this record to Swedish people because over 70% of all the players today came from Sweden. We love Sweden :) It seems that we will hit that 0.5 million games sooner than we thought. Let's keep playing.
10.7.2003 Apologies to everyone who suffered from our MetalQuiz-maintanence. We made few changes and fixes and those fixes made MetalQuiz to crash a few times. We try of avoid such crashes in the future. We are very sorry :(
9.7.2003 Getting closer to the 0.5 million games played line!!! Hopefully we get past that before the 20th of this month because that would mean we've had over 500.000 played games in 2 months! We want to thank all of you who have been playing MetalQuiz here. We have tons of new questions ready and we try to release them for you soon...
23.6.2003 New questions added. We have also made few minor fixes to the MetalQuiz question engine.
18.6.2003 The success of MetalQuiz continues even though there hasn't been a day without some sort of server problems. MetalQuiz staff wants to express a Metal Hail to every Metaller who have played MetalQuiz during the past month. We already have over 300000 games played in less than a month and that is just super!

5.6.2003 Please people when you submit new questions, try to remember few things: Try to keep your questions plurally as correct as possible. We will not even try to fix questions that we can't even understand. Other thing is that when you type your questions, if you have band names, member names etc. remember to use Capital letters like James Hetfield and not james hetfield. Thank you. :)
3.6.2003 MetalQuiz success continues. After 2 weeks there has already been over 210000 games played here. MetalQuiz staff wants to express their deepest thanks to everyone who visits us and plays some... :)
3.6.2003 MetalQuiz engine has been improved. We have made some changes to the MetalQuiz question engine because it seems that it has recycled some questions too often. From now on, it should really work so much better now. Of course this makes your lives more difficult now because same questions shouldn't occur too often but hey, can't win always :)

30.5.2003 We have been facing some server problems due to popularity of MetalQuiz. We really don't think any of us even in our wildest dreams imagined that this service would become so popular. 30.5.2003 We have been forced to remove few entries from the Highscores list. They were removed because we had doubts about the truthfullness of those entries. Since any of the removed parties didn't contact us in any way, we know that we did correctly. Players that play MetalQuiz normally without any cheap tricks, don't have to worry about anything. If you reach the Highscore-lists, you will remain there :)
