MetalQuiz genres are all wrong...
When we first got the idea of dividing questions into genres, we knew that it wouldn't be easy and we certainly knew that we couldn't please everyone.
The situation of MetalQuiz however was unbearable because we had so many questions and they were all in one bunch. People who only had interest for instance Thrash Metal were pretty unpleased when answering questions concerning Winger etc.
We under no circumstances have not categorized the bands into genres just by using our own metal knowledge. We have used 2 very big internet recources when putting bands into genres.
Of course there are bands that have changed a lot during the years. Metallica is one of them. They started as a Thrash metal band but nowadays they are definately not Thrash. Still we have categorized them as being Thrash.
